FRANKLIN MA - Frank Canary, from Eastern’s Franklin district, worked with Richard Trethewey, plumbing and heating expert on the popular PBS television program, to install a Jenn-Air Double Oven and Freestanding Range at the home of Joe and Denise Welch in Southborough, Massachusetts.
Frank Canary, an 11-year employee at Eastern, is a licensed propane Installer and Service Technician, highly trained under numerous industry programs, including certifications in the Basic Principles & Practices of Propane as well as Gas Check. Richard Trethewey is a licensed master and journeyman plumber in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and has been a part of the Ask This Old House team since 1979.
Southborough, MA Assistant Plumbing Inspector Henry Pacific and Fire Inspector Captain Joseph Mauro reviewed the installation, allowing the show’s producers to demonstrate the propane appliance on camera. The installation occurred on July 12, 2007 and three weeks later homeowner Denise Welch contacted Eastern to say, “I love the stove and can't remember the electric! The gas is so easy to use!!
